Abstract
The dynamics of bifurcations in a Dufhng oscillator with a bounded potential well is investigated. Special attention is paid to the prominent phenomena of repeated sets of symmetry and reverse symmetry breaking. The harmonic balance method and Floquet theory are employed to account for this peculiar phenomena.
