Abstract

850nm SM-VCSELs can suffer from low power particularly at high temperatures, as compared to their MM counterparts. We demonstrate stable 850nm and 910nm SM-VCSELs at 85°C under moderate current densities, capable of unequalized 25Gb/s NRZ transmission over 1 km Wideband-MMF and beyond.
