Abstract

This paper proposes a high-efficient mode-decision design of motion estimation to efficiently select appropriate mode for motion compensation in H.264 applications. Hardware realization is presented to reveal the feasibility of the proposed scheme. Also, the experimental results show small PSNR degradation and 176 fps with CIF video resolution.
