Abstract

[Cu(NCCH3)6][B(C6F5) 4]2 can be heterogenized by ion exchange on NaAlMCM-41 and NaAlMCM-48. In the latter case, the observed loading is twice as high as in the first case. [Cu(NCCH3)6][B(C6F 5)4]2 is applicable both in homogeneous and heterogeneous media for the aziridination of olefins at 30°C. Good yields are observed for non bulky olefins, olefins with bulkier substituents lead to lower yields. [Cu(NCCH3)6][B(C6F 5)4]2 grafted on mesoporous surfaces (as heterogeneous catalyst) is stable and recyclable for several catalytic runs with only slight decrease in catalytic activity.
