Abstract

Green Supply chain, a trend to construct for survival in the competitive world, includes Eco-design, Green purchasing, integrated life-cycle management supply chain, internal environmental management, investment recovery, etc. However, the cost will be increased when adopting the green activities. The aim of this paper is to use Value Engineering to review related environmental requirements, such as Directive on the Eco-Design and Requirements for Energy Using Products (EuP Directive) and figure out better alternatives to optimize green supply chain. Value Engineering is a systematic and approved problem solving method in various fields, including manufacturing, construction, government, service, etc. Through teamwork on the processes of Green Supply chain, the Value study team gets the better results of the outputs.
