Abstract

The interaction between two aqueous droplets containing ions is investigated. The mean-square multiple momements represent ion fluctuation inherent in a microdroplet are obtained by MC simulation and linear response theory. The induced multiple moment is calculated from the PB equations. The result shows that the fluctuation-driven attraction dominates over the coulomb repulsion between like-charged droplets for the short distances.
