Abstract

This paper describes the effect of dielectric mixed with electrically conductive powder such as aluminum powder on the gap distance, surface roughness, material removal rate, relative electrode wear ratio, and voltage waveform. It is verified that the dielectric with suspended electrically conductive powder can enlarge the gap distance and can improve the energy dispersion, surface roughness, and material removal rate.
