Abstract

The educational system for optical design and assembly can be done by integrating the optical design program with expert systems and stock lens kits and test equipment by means of a microcomputer and digital optical bench with a robot vision system. Students set up the lens set according to their ideal calculation in order to build up the optical system in the optical bench. The student learns optics by both rote learning and instructional learning.
