Abstract

This paper proposes an acoustic transducer capable of manipulating micro-particles in water. The transducer was fabricated using SU-8 photoresist mold and PDMS casting, which decreased the complexity of fabrication process. Experimental results showed that the transducer can capture PVC particles when driven at 40 Vpp. Dynamic trapping ability at different moving speeds was also verified experimentally.
