Abstract

In this paper, a high-performance diffuser with beam shaping effect made by a down-sized sintering technology and a large-area impressing technology, is presented and demonstrated. By using the down-sized sintering technology, the structure's dimensions of high performance diffuser can be effectively reduced with 1/8 dimension reduction; moreover, the transmission efficiency of diffuser can achieve as high as 85% and above in various materials. Besides, by using the specific diffuser as the core element, several possible lighting applications are designed and manufactured to verify its excellent performance in beam shaping, glare reduction, and energy saving. The simulation and the corresponding experiment are demonstrated.
