Abstract

Polymer material is one of the major materials used in microfluidics. Among all of the polymer materials used in microfluidics applications, high-performance polymers with good optical transmissivity, solvent and acid/base resistivity, and good mechanical rigidity are attractive for the use for biomedical or analytical chemistry applications. In uTAS 2018, we present a new high-performance thermoplastic called cyclic block copolymer (CBC) for microfluidics. Microchannel fabrication by hot embossing and post-bonding process by thermal fusion and surface modification methods are detail reported in this conference report.
