Abstract

Grinding should not only generate a shape as close as possible to the final geometry to reduce the difficulty for final figuring, but also to minimize the thickness of the relief layer. Computer simulation will help us understand and achieve these purposes. In this paper, real time simulation of loose abrasive grinding is considered. The model is based on a modified Preston equation. The parameters include f//p , f//s , the frequency of the tool and the work piece, L the length of oscillating arm, the center F and f//v the frequency of eccentric oscillation, the torque and historical effect, etc.
