Carrier transport behavior of two-color UV-blue LEDs with the active regions in two different sequences is investigated through their distinct electroluminescence properties. The EL decay spectra at UV and blue EL peaks show different behaviors. Based on the characteristics of LEDs with 5 nm and 10 nm GaN spacer, the roles of electrons and holes in the emission processes of UV-blue two-color LEDs are clarified.
