Abstract

This paper presents an audio-based early warning system which helps to protect the safety of people with hearing impairment. The work is implemented on Android platform with a human-machine interface APP rendering. The prediction model will identify the result and send it to the device interface in order to alert the user. The experimental results showed that the accuracy of the system is 66.4% for eight class classification, including vehicle approaching events and some environmental sound on the road.
