Abstract

Silicon-based microfabrication and micromachining techniques have demonstrated their effectiveness in various biotechnology-related applications. In this article, the current utilization of these techniques and the general microfabrication and micromachining processes are discussed. Possible future applications of the techniques to biotechnology are also assessed.
