Abstract

This paper intends to highlight the varying impacts of major procurement methods on the general contractor and to infer the relevant sustainable financial strategy. It first reviews characteristics of major procurement methods and examines the financial structure of general contractors by comparing the general contractors as a sector with other three representative sectors. Then, the financial implications of different procurement methods on a general contractor’s financial strategy are discussed. Finally, some summary remarks are given.
