Abstract

Methods are presented for calculating the perturbation bounds of dynamic systems needed for the eigenvalues to be restricted to some specified regions. Both the norm bound and the element bound for allowable perturbations are obtained. The methods are applicable to the continuous-time as well as to the discrete-time case. When the eigenvalues are constrained to be located in the stable region, the proposed criteria become the stability robustness criteria.
