Abstract

The goal of Advanced Traveler Information Systems (ATIS) is to provide travelers with the information required to efficiently and effectively complete a desired trip. Recommendation systems are a kind of web intelligence techniques to make daily information filtering for people. In this paper, we propose a tourist spots recommendation system, which is able to learn personal preferences of users and provide tailored suggestions to users, to help travelers to plan their sightseeing tours. Tourist spots which meet the travelers' preferences will be suggested by the proposed recommendation system.
