Abstract
We report a novel series stub matching structure for broadband amplifiers. In this design, the series open stub is utilized to provide both rf matching and dc blocking for the amplifier. Based on coplanar waveguide (CPW) transmission lines, the amplifier is realized. Excellent bandpass response of a 7.5‐dB gain with ±0.7‐dB flatness and a 8‐dB return loss are obtained over a 70% bandwidth with a center frequency of 9 GHz. © 1995 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
