Abstract

A methodology of designing a light-enhanced layer (LEL) to increase the out-coupling efficiency of the organic/polymer light emitting diode (OLED/PLED) is proposed. The simulation results show that a top-emission OLED/PLED with the designed mesa-cone as the LEL yields the efficiency of 26.0%, a factor of 1.57 improvement.
