Abstract
The Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement (RAP) is produced by maintenance and rehabilitation in Taiwan pavement engineering daily, the most important issue of RAP in Taiwan is how to recycle this material and keep better pavement performance. The objective of this study was to utilize the Clegg impact value (CIV) to evaluate the strength of cold mix foam recycled asphalt concrete. Six test roads in Taiwan major city using cold mix foam recycled asphalt concrete were evaluated, the specification of CIV was adopted Taiwan construction standard No. 02727 in this study, and the CIV minimum requirement was 37.According to the field test results, all tests of the CIV were passed within 24 hr. and the curing time of some field tests over the CIV standard were less than 4 hour. Based on the above results, the strength of cold mix foam recycled asphalt concrete was very good enough to be pavement base layer in this study. It could solve the problem of the stockpile of RAP in Taiwan, and it is worthy of further study.
