Traveling back and forth between Taiwan and Indonesian Hakka

Project Details

Description

The students of our college have acquired relevant knowledge of Hakka in Taiwan in the existing courses. However, through the overseas Hakka that this project intends to explore, students can use the Hakka in Taiwan as a basis and compare it with Hakka in Indonesia, thus understanding the common characteristics of Hakka in Taiwan and India. At the same time, we can also observe the differences produced by adapting to different environments and societies. Between the similarities and differences, it outlines a complete picture of Hakkas around the world. In addition, through exchanges with Indonesian Hakkas, on the one hand, the students of the college can cultivate their field skills and broaden their international horizons, and on the other hand, they can cooperate with Indonesian Hakka scholars, local people and associations to deepen mutual connections.
