The Study of High Efficiency and High Stability Perovskite Qds /Pmma Film

Project Details

Inorganic–organic or all inorganic metal halide perovskite quantum dots (PQDs) with the advantages of inexpensive and solution-process, tunable wavelength over the whole visible spectral range, have received increasing attention in recent years. Given these advantages, the scientific community has extensively discussed the possibility of application in the fields of solar cells, photoluminescence and electroluminescence. In this research, we propose the use of material surface modification techniques and PMMA coated PQDs nanospheres to fabricate the high efficiency, high stability of the new PQDs thin film. This new PQDs thin film with the advantages of low toxicity, high efficiency and high purity of luminescent color, are very likely to be used in the field of micro LEDs and QLED TV in the future. The direction of project execution:(1) Synthesis of green- and red-emitting PQDs with the characteristics of high quantum yields, narrow emission line widths.(2) By the use of material surface modification techniques to improve the stability of PQDs.(3) Via the polymerization process to fabricate versatility PMMA coated PQDs nanospheres.(4) Manufacture new PQDs thin film to enhance the efficiency of commercial color filter. This project expects to achieve the following targets:(1) Synthesize the green and red light-emitting PQDs, respectively, with photoluminescence quantum yield (PLQY) more than 95%.(2) Fabricate PQDs + MMA raw material, which can generate PQDs + PMMA thin film by photopolymerization or thermal polymerization, and the PLQY of the thin film after IEC standard test can still reaches the original efficiency of PQDs of over 80%.(3) Manufacture new type of PQDs thin film to improve the efficiency of commercial color filter more than 30%.LEDs and TFT-LCD displays are two of the very important industries in Taiwan. In order to respond to the threats of new products and new applications in this field from Japan and South Korea, study and development of new materials with high performance are very important topics for us. The results of this study could be applied to micro LEDs and QLEDs and other fields, to enhance the competitiveness of Taiwan.
