The Physics and Application of a Generic Model for Active Permeating Gel with Birth/Death Events( I )

In this proposal, our newly developed (unplished) models for active (polar) permeating gel are presented. We plan to first solve their mode structures and study the stability of the bulk system, then consider the situation when the active gel is in contact with a passive fluid, or when the active gel rests on top of a solid substrate. The result of this series of theoretical investigations will greatly improve our understanding of a broad range of biological activecollective systems, and provide predictions that can be tested by future experiments.
