The Factors Affecting the Switching Intention of Enterprise Adopting Public Cloud Based E-Business Software

With the diffusion and adoption of cloud enterprise information systems (EIS), they are becoming analternative to traditional EIS. Although the bulk of studies have focused on the adoption of new EIS, fewstudies have addressed the issue of switching from traditional EIS to cloud EIS. This study will integrateTwo-Factor Theory and Technology-Organization-Environment framework to address switchingbenefits and costs affecting organizations’ switching intention to public cloud services. In addition, weattempt to examine the effects of technological context (system quality, information quality, servicequality), organizational context (financial advantage), and environmental context (government support,industry pressure) on switching benefits and to examine the effects of breadth of use, user satisfaction,and perceived risks on switching costs. This study will test the research model and hypotheses bycollecting data from organizations. The findings of this study will facilitate both academic and businesssocieties to foster cloud computing.
