We plan to use the ring resonators developed in our laboratory to study the ring resonator array. We will usethe ring resonator array to build a neural network computer. Each ring resonator can be regarded as a neuron.In literature, people use square ring resonator array to build the neural network. We will change the topologyof the ring resonator array and the dimension of the ring resonators to optimize the characterization of theoptical neural network computing. We will fabricate the device on silicon-on-insulator chip. We will applythe chip on the applications that we are investigating. This neural network ring resonator array could providean ultra-fast computation platform to the applications of big data.
