Studies on Nonequilibrium Statistical Mechanics Using Stochastic Dynamics and Markov Chains

In this proposed research project we would like to study the interplay between statisticalthermodynamics and information theory. In particular, we hope to use the template of electriccircuit systems. Along with related studies in other stochastic systems, we look forward toextend our understanding between the interplay of nonequilibrium statistical mechanics,probability theory, and time irreversibility.
