Search for New Physics in Dilepton + X Final State(1/2)

The experimental high energy physics group at National Central University (NCUHEP) has been in CMS at the LHC since 1999. My group successfully participated in the construction and commissioning of CMS Preshower detector. Preshower was installed in early 2009. Since the startup of proton-proton collisions at LHC in the end of 2009,our main mission has moved from hardware oriented activities to physics analysis. Over the last five years,my group published several papers ondi-boson physics,thesearchoftheHiggsbosonandthesearchofnewphysics. My groupalso contributed tothediscoveryoftheHiggsboson madebytheCMScollaboration. This important discovery made two theorists who proposed the BEH mechanism fifty years ago were awarded by the Nobel Prize in Physics in 2013. In the end of 2015,both the ATLAS and CMS experiment reported an excess of events in the di-photon final state with an invariantmassofabout750GeV. Thistriggers greatinterests inthefieldofhighenergyphysics. Many theories predict the existence of other final states if this resonance is real. We proposal a collaboration of the CMS group at Seoul National University (SNU),Korea and NCUHEP, Taiwan to work on the search of new physics in the final state of dilepton +X (X = y and MET) with 2016 and 2017 LHC data.
