Preliminary Feasibility Study of the Sea Farming of Xiehe Power Plant: Simulation Research

Project Details

Description

The thermal plume from the cooling circulating water system of the power plant will raise the water temperature in the nearby sea area. The "Taiwan Power Company Hsiehho Thermal Power Plant Renovation and Reconstruction Project" was initiated to convert the Taiwan Power Company Hsiehho Thermal Power Plant into a natural gas power plant. Therefore, Taipower Corporation planned to reclaim the land outside the Keelung Port to build a natural gas receiving station. A three-dimensional numerical model is used to conduct a diffusion analysis of thermal plume to evaluate its impact on the surrounding sea area. The 3D numerical model is used to analyze the diffusion of the temperature drainage, and the DHI ABM model is added to study the coral. By editing the ABM template, the response of the coral to the surrounding environmental field is written into the template to simulate the coral's response to temperature, light and other environments factors that affect it.
