We propose a cooperative project to achieve a common objective, higher level of scientificliteracy in Taoyuan City. Three parties are participating in this project, Department of Education ofTaoyuan City Government, Taiwan Railways Administration and Science Education Center ofNational Central University, i.e. the applicant’s affiliation. There are two parts in this project,“Science Fair for Taoyuan City” and “Taiwan Railways of Popular Science-Taoyuan City”In “Science Fair for Taoyuan City”, twenty primary schools will join in this project to hold sciencefairs in their own campuses. New graduates will be the gatekeeper, letting students to experiencehands-on science to defeat the challenges. In “Taiwan Railways of Popular Science-Taoyuan City”,we expect to set up about 8 scientific booths for students from nearby schools and public.
