Optical Transition Frequency Measurement under Ultra-Cold Atoms

The target in the first year of this project is, contiuning our previous achievements in Optics Letter 2013 andPhysical Review A 2015, to confirm the absolute transition frequency of cesium atom 6S-8S hyperfinetransitions that is able to offer new data for precisly calculating the corresponding 8S wavefunction.Moreover, clarify the influcence of helium atom in atomsphere that was assumed by the investigators of theair force in United State. In the second year, we wish to promote our achievement to be a secondaryfrequency standard that would be helpful for the generalization of the use of optical clock. Therefore, we willdo the frequency comparison between our cesium-stabilized hand-size laser and a home-buildrubidum-stabilized secondary optical standard that was recommended by BIPM. We will then in the thirdyear use all the technologies developed in the first two years, to observe the quantum interference of atomionization rate and I wish the result can directly relate to the repetition rate standard of comb laser
