Project Details
Description
Professor. Mou Zongsan is the most famous philosopher of contemporary Neo-Confucianism. He has put forward many books to interpret Chinese philosophy, such as Confucianism, Taoism and Buddhism, which makes the theory of Chinese philosophy get an unprecedented clear analysis. Bridging of Chinese and western philosophy, he mainly compares the differences between eastern and western philosophy and the ways of integration through Kant's philosophical theory. In his later works and papers, he has put forward some more mature and theoretical views, which are worth further explanation. The plan hopes to make a systematic arrangement and exploration on this. This project is a two-year research project. In the first year, it discusses several groundbreaking theories in the history of Chinese philosophy put forward by Mr. Mou. In the second year, it discusses Mr. Mou's digestion and discussion of Kant's "Critique of Judgment", and some philosophical issues arising therefrom.
