Project Details

Description

The first phase of the candidate’s Yushan Scholar Program was extremely fruitful from the candidate’s perspective and those of NCU. After establishing a solid team for geological and geotechnical hazards and risk assessments at NCU, Prof. Juang secured funding from the Ministry of Science and Technology’s Shackleton Program. Under Prof. Juang’s leadership, team members (ranging from junior researchers to intermediate and senior researchers) excelled. Their research outcomes not only gained international recognition (through papers in symposiums and journals) but also culminated in Taiwan, affecting government policies and expanding industry-university cooperation. The team has become a leader in the specialty area of geological uncertainty, geohazards, and risk assessment.
