Material testing and fracture analysis of the hinge component

Project Details

Description

This research focuses on the effects of different tempering temperatures on the microstructure and mechanical properties of MIM-4605 steel. The objective of this experiment is to improve the hardness and the strength of end-product metal through temperature control sintering. The strengthening mechanism of MIM alloy will be investigated through the analysis of microstructure. Ultimately, this methodology may serve as a reference for manufacturing hinge components.
