Description
To extend our study on the optical properties of the high power LEDs, we would like to explore with the spectral properties of the LED solid-state light sources. By the optimization process on the LED illuminating spectra, we will determine a series of optimal LED spectra which are dependent on the correlated-color temperature only. Similar to the standard illuminant A and the standard illuminant D, some solid process will be developed to determine the optimal LED spectra in a simple way such that the new standard illuminant L becomes possible and promising. In the second stage of this project, we will make effort on the realization of this LED light source with the CCT-dependent optimal spectrum. Based on our previous research results, we believe that a CCT-tunable light source with designed illuminating spectrum is possible to be made from one appropriate set of LEDs. In such a way, the LED solid-state light source can march into many more practical applications like the standard measurement, photometry/colorimetric calibration, instrument calibration, and so on.
