Project Details
Description
Smart home on IoT is the major trend of home in the future. In this project, we will use the cheaper lens (image sensor ov7725, etc.) instead of the pyro-electric infrared detector( Kinect). We expect to accomplish real-time processing and effective control. Users of our project will not be unacceptable of the price, and they will be able to have the convenient and comfortable environment of the control. In this project, we will discuss how to accomplish the depth map by two images which are generated from two different image sensors. We will also discuss how to use stereo video technology to get the various control and determination without any controllable medium. Such as Light Control, Curtain Control, Electrical Control and Game Control, etc. In the environment of living, our control shouldn’t be limited by smart phone or portable medium. We should control everything what we need in the most relaxed situation. Another part, we expect to develop smart home lighting system with human-computer interaction by video surveillance system and lighting technology. This lighting technology relies on multi-object tracking algorithms. Such as Indoor Positioning, Automatic Power Saving, Anticipation Lighting and Home Security, etc. This application can be integrated with stereo video technology to generate more interactive application. This smart home system on IoT will be low power, low energy, low cost and high secrecy.
