Highway Low Carbon Emission Road Trial and Evaluation Plan - A Case Study of Warm Mix Asphalt Concrete

Project Details

Description

To reduce greenhouse gas emissions from asphalt concrete, the trial engineering will reference domestic and international specifications for warm mix asphalt concrete. Through this trial engineering, we aim to understand the feasibility of warm mix asphalt concrete in highway projects. The trial paving engineering will take place in the parking space of the Central Maintenance Branch of the Highway Bureau of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications. Effectiveness evaluation and comparative analysis will be conducted with hot mix asphalt concrete to assess the effectiveness of warm mix versus hot mix asphalt concrete. The evaluation will focus on the greenhouse gas emissions and energy consumption of the materials for reference by relevant authorities.
