經過這些年的知識積累與研究開拓,我已不斷擴充我的博士論文的深度與廣度,目前正改寫成學術專書。研究的視角從台灣與美國為主的跨國脈絡延伸至東南亞的移民工冷戰敘事,試圖介入亞際文化研究(inter-Asia)與跨太平洋研究(transpacific studies)之間的歷史與知識對話,以有別於過去以單一國家敘事或以民族國家為研究參照的歷史分斷。此一書稿的出版,將對後殖民研究、跨太平洋亞洲與美國研究、離散研究、冷戰研究、族裔研究、生命政治與亞際文化研究,以及目前新興的醫療人文研究等領域做出重要的原創貢獻。
