From reading Atayal to interest-driven tribal learning

Project Details

Description

Rural education often suffers from low academic ability due to uneven teachers and high turnover rates. In the early stage of this project, we cooperated with 4 schools in Fuxing District and adopted the "Interest-Driven Creator Theory, IDC Theory" developed by our teams for 10 years to cultivate students' reading interest and develop reading habits. It has been gradually expanded to 12 schools in Fuxing District. Mandela said: "Education is the most powerful weapon." Our team will focus on the long-term process of cultivating interest in learning and assisting relevant teachers to develop high-quality education in the tribal environment in the way of "IDC Theory ". Students enjoy learning and develop lifelong learning habits to develop their future potential.Based on the preliminary reading of Atayal, this project will expand the training of local teachers and NCU students to participate. Adopt interest-driven courses developed by the team for many years (tomorrow planet platform and physical textbooks) to support the learning of subjects such as mathematics, science, and computational thinking, and to develop interesting Atayal culture and cross-field subject learning. To build a long-term and stable teaching support mechanism, with the goal of expert guidance and the establishment of a local professional teacher community, we are committed to developing the reading ability and reading interest of teachers and students. In addition, the 3+1 Math Island distance teaching is adopted. University research teams, student volunteers, and local teachers work together to improve the problem of backwardness in academic ability of rural students.
