This project aims to promote the scientific vision and program in Geophysics session of theDepartment of Natural Sciences and Sustainable Development, Ministry of Science andTechnology (MOST). The proposal review process with a fair and open manner has been the keyto this mission. To execute this project would also bring the connections among projects andencourage the international collaboration. In addition to the scientific programs, this project alsoprovokes a virtual center named Taiwan Earthquake Research Center (TEC) to provide a platformfor data archives and sharing, and to bring highlights to team work in an integration aspect to givethe consensus in research for seismic hazard mitigation. The TEC as the members from variousUniversities and Institution would play a role as other international organizations, namelySouthern California Earthquake Center (SCEC), National Institute of Earth Science and DisasterPrevention (NIED), Japan, and others. The PI of this project as the leading person for proposalreview process, bring the connections among projects, and encourage the internationalcollaboration in Geophysics session of the Department of Natural Sciences and SustainableDevelopment, MOST.
