First, the purpose of the meeting:This conference is hosted by the Confucianism Research Center, co-sponsored by the Chinese Department, the Institute of Philosophy, the Confucianism Center of the College of Humanities and Arts of Taipei City University, the Chinese Department of Chengchi University, the Confucianism Research Office of the Chinese Department of Tamkang University, and the East Asian Chinese Studies and Confucianism Research Center of the School of Literature of Chung Cheng University. It is scheduled to be held on March 24, 2023 in the International Conference Hall of the Fake College of Literature.The Eighth Youth Confucianism Conference was formerly known as the Academic Conference on Youth Confucianism Studies in Three Universities, and the first conference was held by the Confucianism Center of Taipei City University in 2015. Since the 20th anniversary celebration of the establishment of Confucianism Research Center on April 22nd, 2022, a memorandum of cooperation has been signed with the Confucianism Center of the College of Humanities and Arts of Taipei City University, the Confucianism Research Office of the Chinese Department of Tamkang University and the East Asian Chinese Studies and Confucianism Research Center of the School of Arts of Chung Cheng University, which was signed by the competent representatives of the four units, providing an inter-school academic exchange platform and continuously cultivating young talents in Confucianism research.Second, the content of the meeting:This conference continues the purpose of the original three-school youth Confucianism conference, and encourages young researchers to participate in academic activities by holding conferences, encouraging research atmosphere and expecting researchers to carry forward the past. All topics derived from Confucianism are the discussion areas of the seminar. While encouraging researchers to pursue diligence and deepening, they can also maintain their concern for modern and contemporary social humanities.In this seminar, students from five schools are encouraged to submit manuscripts, and the manuscripts are selected and evaluated, and scholars and experts are invited to participate in special discussions. It is hoped that through the conference, new talents will be cultivated for Confucianism research and culture will be passed down. This conference is expected to publish 14 papers and invite heavyweight scholars to give comments, so as to promote the study of Confucianism through this conference.
