Development of the Techniques for the Identification of Vehicle Loads on Bridge

Project Details

Description

The overloading failure is a very important issue for the maintenance of highway bridges, especially for the bridges on the path of heavy trucks. Therefore, it is necessary to know the loading spectrum of the bridges undergoes for their sustainability management. This can be used to conduct the fatigue life analysis, degradation evaluation and retrofit works of bridge structures. The goal of this research project is to develop techniques for the identification of moving vehicle loads on bridge through monitored strain and deflection data.
