Description

The global annual consumption of liquid gases is growing fast. This is especially visible in the case ofthe LNG market, which is characterized by an increase in consumption of about 7% per year. Other gases,like nitrogen and argon, are used as protective atmospheres, and they can be obtained at highest purity afterre-gasification from their liquid states. This situation creates a need for high efficiency heat exchangers thatare suitable for liquid gas vaporization, optionally allowing the recovery of physical exergy from the gasand characterized by safe operation and low failure risk. We propose the development of dedicated PlateHeat Exchangers (PHE) that are suitable for cryogen vaporization and condensation. The project will becomposed of the following tasks (Work Packages) that collaborated by Taiwanese and Polish institutions:1. Numerical modeling of flow processes in heat exchangers, 1.
