Project Details
Description
The main objective of this project is to develop technology of compound Fresnel lens for pyroelectric infrared sensor. The compound Fresnel lens is a compound of sub-Fresnel lenses with different focal lengths. Here each sub-Fresnel lens works on a moving object at a specific distance to increase the sensing range and sensitivity of pyroelectric infrared sensor. In this project, we hope to establish the optical design technology that can quickly and effectively design the compound Fresnel lens used in infrared sensors. The implementation of this plan includes: 1. Deriving the ray tracing relationship by the geometric optical tracing theory; 2. Establishing the ray tracing calculation program to quickly design the 2D structure of the compound Fresnel lens; 3. Verifying the validity and accuracy of ray tracing calculation design programs by using commercial optical tracing software; 4. Improving simulation design by using commercial optical tracing software; 5. Verifying this sensor system.
