According to the foreseeable technological trend, the demand for near-infrared narrow-band filter film is very likely to extend from 940nm to longer wavelengths. In future applications, LiDAR products require safer laser light sources of 1350/1550nm. In order to achieve high penetration filtration and high optical density in the cut-off band of the filter film in this wavelength band, it is foreseeable. However, continuing to use the past coating materials does not seem to meet the needs. Caiyu Technology cooperates with Central University to research in the field of optical films, and plans to replace the existing mature dielectric materials with the development of new materials, germanium, and use germanium compounds as the basic coating materials. This material was rarely used in optical components in the past, but with the development of technology, the optical properties of germanium materials are very suitable for 1350/1550nm wavelengths, but the system germanium of germanium materials does not require much effort. Material stress, durability, and silicon wafer integration all require research and evaluation. The coating technology and parameters of germanium material will affect its optical properties and stress properties. Caiyu plans to use a physical deposition machine to perform this process, and the machine guessing adjustment and the measurement of various characteristics need to have corresponding measuring equipment. In addition to coating on the glass surface, Caiyu also plans to directly manufacture the wafer-level process. It is expected to be realized through this project, and the purpose of miniaturizing optical components can be achieved. If this research result is successful, it will provide a safer use environment, not hurt the eyes, and high signal-to-noise ratio lidar type products, not only from mobile phones to automotive advanced driver assistance systems, but also to provide consumers with more advanced and safe. optical system.
