This course will focus on learning/teaching Hakka through the understanding of Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) and will attempt to provide Hakka language teachers and trainees with an understanding of how to use technology in Hakka language teaching from three perspectives 1) Technology Knowledge (TK): introduction to various digital tools/media; 2) Content Knowledge (CK): introduction to various digital resources for teaching and learning Hakka; 3) Pedagogical Knowledge (PK): introduction to various digital teaching/learning methods. In addition, we will also use the rolling circle of the three sides and nine core literacies mentioned in the 12-year national education (108 core literacies in the syllabus), and based on the "literacy orientation," we will develop a project design and practice for "Integrating Technology into teaching and Learning of Hakka," and because of the great potential of the game-based learning model and the positive impact on learner motivation that has been confirmed by relevant studies, Hakka language teachers and students need to create a close and personalized learning environment. The trainees will have more opportunities to discuss and collaborate with their group members, thus enabling them to learn from their classmates through imitation. They will be able to imitate their classmates by observing and adopting their ideas while preparing a project design. In addition, language teacher trainees can collaborate and combine the knowledge gained through sharing and collaborating on creating a project design for 'Technology in Hakka Language Teaching.' During the process, students can take turns playing different roles (e.g., curriculum designer, pedagogue, curriculum assessor, educational technologist, etc.); each student is expected to take responsibility for his/her role and assist other members of the team in completing the task together.
