Biomedical data analysis talent training program

Project Details

Description

The development of artificial intelligence (AI), 5th generation mobile networks (5G), and Information, Communication, & Technology (ICT) and application in biomedical big data analysis were focuses of the current development of the biomedical industry. In order to cultivate cross-domain talents with professional biomedical knowledge, data analysis, and system development, this project would provide the aspect of education course and focus on the cultivation of female professionals. We propose a three-year biomedical data analysis talent training program. The specific implementation goals include 1) Strengthen the digital literacy of biomedical data analysis: Cooperation with industry and medical circles to establish related courses and conferences to strengthen human biomedical professionalism; 2) Enhance bilingual skills and bolster the international competitiveness ; and 3) Promote the commercialization of the digital biomedical industry: The university is the center in the project and combines the industry, government, academia and hospital, to initiate the course of practical training, regulatory guides, AI competition, or entrepreneurship to cultivate AI talents with industrial practices. In addition, in this project, for female faculty or students in professional training measures, including scholarships, industry-university advanced study/learning opportunities, and career guidance, additional subsidies will be selected to enhance and deepen women’s careers in the field of data science. During the three year period, the project implementation team will evaluate the effectiveness of the project through the status of new courses/conferences, and enhance the University Industry linkage in Taiwan.
