Biomedical data analysis talent training program

Project Details

The development of artificial intelligence/AI, 5th generation mobile networks /5G,and Information, Communication, & Technology;ICT) and application in biomedical big dataanalysis were focuses of the current development of the biomedical industry. In order tocultivate cross-domain talents with professional biomedical knowledge, data analysis, andsystem development, this project would provide the aspect of education course and focuson the cultivation of female professionals. We propose a three-year biomedical dataanalysis talent training program. The specific implementation goals include 1) Strengthenthe digital literacy of biomedical data analysis: Cooperation with industry and medicalcircles to establish related courses and conferences to strengthen human biomedicalprofessionalism; 2) Enhance bilingual skills and bolster the internationalcompetitiveness; and 3) Promote the commercialization of the digital biomedical industry:The university is the center in the project and combines the industry, government, academia and hospital, to initiate the course of practical training, regulatory guides,AI competition, or entrepreneurship to cultivate AI talents with industrial practices. Inaddition, in this project, for female faculty or students in professional trainingmeasures, including scholarships, industry-university advanced study/learningopportunities, and career guidance, additional subsidies will be selected to enhance anddeepen women’s careers in the field of data science. During the three-year period, theproject implementation team will evaluate the effectiveness of the project through thestatus of new courses/conferences, and enhance the University-Industry linkage in Taiwan
