Biomass Gasification with Super-Critical Cycle for Energy Supply System( II )

Project Details

Description

Biomass and waste are important primary energy resources in the global world. The importance of biomass/waste even surpasses that of the solar energy and the wind energy in the world. For the past few years, biomass is an inexpensive and price stability resource with relative to another fuels. However, the global energy conservation, carbon reduction and PM2.5 issues also are very serious problem. For aiming to reduce carbon dioxide emissions from power plants as well as steel factories and petro-chemical, clean biomass utilization is one of the most promising technology, among which the core entities are the advanced gasification process. This technology is useful not only for emission reduction and pollution improvement in the gasification processing but also for increasing multi-fuel flexibility such as utilization of biomass and waste. For this reason, this proposal “Big Success” (BIomass Gasification with SUper-Critical Cycle for Energy Supply System) for gasification technologies focuses on developing the 100 kW level gasifiers, medium- to high-temperature filtration technology, power generation from syngas with the supercritical cycle technology, and integrated microgrid technology. This integrated proposal will be executed by our former NEP-II gasification team. This team also invite new partner: MIRDC, CHEM Inc. and the relative energy company. In the future, with the key technologies developed and the promotion of the application of the gasification integrated system, we can assist in establishing a link between the domestic and international industries. At the same time, establishing the first 100 kW level commercial demonstration gasification-based power generation system with multiple applications program further, gasification technology can be implemented in relative bioenergy industries. Therefore, three sub-projects are contained in this integrated research project to achieve the above aims:1. Hundred kW level agricultural gasification-based power generation integrated microgrid technology;2. Cleaning and conversion of gaseous energy technology; and3. Supercritical cycle key technology.
