This project attempts to combine the ancient legends and monsters course with the folk culture in Taoyuan Studies. It is not only a fusion of ancient and modern times, but also a link between fictional texts and real life. While promoting humanistic literacy, students can have a further understanding and experience of the real society in which they live through the course. The core objective of the course is "Meaningful Knowledge Production". It is hoped that this teaching setting can enhance students' interest in learning and is also an effective way for the humanities to respond to society in the face of rapid changes in the times. The course uses and emphasizes the teaching methods of "creative thinking" and "problem guidance", integrating narrative power and SDGs. Narrative ability is also a concrete manifestation of creativity, and SDGs are a humanistic spirit that is of global concern and cannot be avoided. At the end of the semester, students are required to use multiple (digital) narrative types to produce works with their own perspectives on local folklore, beliefs, etc. in Taoyuan.
